Steven D. Spile

Mr. Spile is the senior partner of Spile, Leff & Goor, LLP in Los Angeles, CA. He uses his extensive litigation, dispute resolution and transactional experience in a wide variety of areas. He was involved in the creation of the California Association of Realtors ("CAR") Strategic Defense Panel and is one of the handful of attorneys selected to serve on this Panel. Mr. Spile also supports CAR and various Realtor Associations through his participation in a variety of committees and the CAR Legal Affairs Forum. He is counsel for California Real Estate Technology Services ("CARETS") and for the Burbank Association of Realtors. He is a certified Department of Real Estate instructor, who wrote and produced a risk management video for real estate professionals. Mr. Spile has had many articles published, including a monthly risk-management column in "Broker_Agent Magazine." In addition, he assists members of the insurance industry and other businesses in designing and administering risk-management policies, reducing costs and improving efficiency. Toward this end, he has presented seminars for attorneys, insurance representatives and other professionals throughout the country. He is an experienced mediator serving on various court and business association panels. He is the chairperson for the Southland Regional Association of Realtors Mediation Program, the Risk Management Committee and was the 2010 recipient of the "SRAR Affiliate of the Year Award" for his contributions to the real estate brokerage industry. Mr. Spile is the Vice Chairperson for the Southern California Chapter of Professional Liability Underwriting Society ("PLUS"). In addition, he is his firm's liaison to the Harmonie Group, an Invitation Only national network of elite and vetted defense law firms. He is a member of the bars of the United States District Court for the Central and Eastern Districts of California, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and L.A. County Bar Associations.Born in Los Angeles, California, Mr. Spile received his BA from the University of California at Berkeley in 1978 and his J.D. from the University of Southern California Law Center in 1982.
